Falling in love with number theory dates back to Prof. YoungJu Choie’s number theory course in 2014. The most attractive part of number theory for me is using a variety of sophisticated techniques to solve problems which are easy to understand, such as Fermat’s Last Theorem and the Prime Number Theorem. Based on this lesson, I tried to take as many courses I learned about as possible, which broadened my view of the mathematics.

My love and passion for math began when I was in the fourth grade in an elementary school where I took a math course for gifted children in a college in my province. I learned ‘new’ mathematics which was different from what I learned at school, and there I came to have a dream which has never changed so far.
